Sollos is Halco Lighting Technology’s entry into the competitive world of landscape lighting. Building on their expertise as a bulb manufacturer, they designed and engineered this elegant, versatile new line of fixtures
to bring together form, function, and efficiency. Every Sollos fixture works interchangeably with an assortment of Halco lamp technologies, including energy-efficient LED and halogen-xenon bulbs.
Halco engaged Ethic early in the development of this product line to create both the name and brand identity. To separate Sollos from the competition, we introduced an aspirational aesthetic focused on high design, quality, and superior technology. The resulting graphics define Sollos as both stylish and smart – a fresh approach backed by an trusted name in the industry.

When we were hired to develop an advertising campaign for Halco’s energy-efficient LED product line, we saw the opportunity to tackle that problem. Ethic proposed a graphic strategy that would reinforce brand recognition and value. With strong, consistent design, we established the visual standards needed to modernize and streamline the Halco look across all media. The resulting work won an award for “Most Memorable Brand Campaign” from TED Magazine, the leading trade publication in the lighting industry.

MLB Sales Promotion
Since The Weather Channel is the official weather service of Major League Baseball, a digital sales promo themed around the beginning of the season was right in their strike zone.
A set of 15 custom designed “trading cards” featuring products, sales statistics, branded messaging and TWC personalities was the central piece of the kit. Each kit contained 20 packs of cards, a batting helmet, branded drink coozies, peanuts and boxes of Cracker Jack and the whole thing was presented on an “infield” placemat. 20 of the 300 kits had a “golden ticket” randomly inserted in one of the packs – the finder got tickets to game in their region, courtesy of The Weather Channel!
